蔡文彬教授是台灣出身、國際頂尖的管理學者，曾擔任Academy of Management Journal副主編，六度獲得傑出審稿人獎(Outstanding Reviewer Award)，相關著作在Google學術搜尋上的被引用次數逾20,000次；其中，1998 年發表在Academy of Management Journal的文章“Social capital and value creation: The role of intrafirm networks”，乃是社會資本領域的經典著作。
