Cindy Larive, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor of the University of California, Riverside (UCR), Jeff Kaatz, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Development, Jed Schwendiman, Senior Director of Development, Jun Wang, Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives and International Recruitment, and Tamra Johnson, Associate Director of International Relations at School of Business, visited NSYSU. They were hosted by Chih-Wen Kuo (郭志文), Vice President for Office of International Affairs of NSYSU, San-Yih Hwang (黃三益), Dean of the College of Management, Chih-Peng Li (李志鵬), Dean of the College of Engineering, Sharon Wang (王紹蓉), Director of the Office of International Affairs of the College of Management, and Cindy Lin (林欣郁), Manager of the Office of International Affairs of the College of Management.
On the day of the visit, besides exploring the possibility of collaboration on a double degree program, the meeting also covered scholar exchange programs and short-term visits to NSYSU by UCR students. In 2017, the College of Management, NSYSU signed a cooperation agreement with UCR to offer 1+1 or 1+2 master’s degree programs for NSYSU students (Please see: https://ppt.cc/f5hZbx). This year, two students would be sent to UCR to participate in the program. Dean Huang also took the opportunity to seek assistance from the UCR representatives in helping these students to obtain scholarships.
